Anticipation Proclamation

I, Kelsey, hereby proclaim my extreme anticipation of what is to come.

October 1st is around the corner (but at a corner that seems forever away). I am absolutely thrilled to know that this home is awaiting my family. After all we went through with trying to sell our house and wanting to buy, it is a blessing that we have a house at all. For a while there, we certainly were NOT encouraged that we would get a home that is an "improvement" from the last... BUT WE DID!!

Here it is!

Mom has agreed to let me take over the HUGE bonus room as my bedroom. We have already bought my bedspread and such and Mom has already drawn and planned out everything for most of the rooms. Interior Design is very fun-- but also wallet draining. :(

Our plan:

Family Room: Orange and Blue Color Scheme- Orange curtains, within the near future a NEW COMFY dark brown couch, and artwork picked out with MY taste in mind instead of my mom's extreme contempory flare. :) She really is being wonderful about letting me pick things out. She is calling it "Kelsey's House"!!! Also, we are longing for a new flatscreen!!!!

Below is our design inspiration!

Kitchen: Continue the same color scheme in order to brighten up the dark granite and dark cabinets (which are very nice, by the way). P.S. The kitchen is HUGE!

Dining Room: Purple and Green (think like Grape Vine Color Scheme) We have bought plates from IKEA and another "Kelsey's pick" painting!! A new dining room table from IKEA hopefully awaits.

Formal Living Room: Use one existing purple couch and buy Computer Niche from IKEA. Use pre-owned decor from Raleigh.

KELSEY'S BEDROOM: A dark gray and white patterned bedding set that we are going to add hot pink to through accents. We are painting one wall (or 2) HOT PINK. I am receiving top-of-the-line furniture on move-in day. In addition we are going to hang up my ballet barres, make me a mirrored door closet, put hardwood floors down in dance area, hopefully buy a chase lounge to put on new rug, and hang all my photos!!! It's a project for sure!

Camille's Room- I absolutely love her new bedspread. Lime Green and Dark Gray from BB&B!!

Guest Bed- Use brown bedspread with turquoise pillows and turquoise decor from 3rd floor.

TV Room- Put other purple couch in here with current family room tv (after we buy a new one) and... umm, not sure what else.

Half Bath- Purple and Green Contemporary Decor from Anna's Linens!

Undecided:

-Kelsey's Bathroom

-Master Bedroom

-Master Bathroom

-Backyard ('cause man does it need some help)

Now we just need some money to fall from some trees!
